Children Workshop at Eurognosi Kolossi

Eurogonisi Kolossi (https://www.facebook.com/eurognosikolossi/) is a private educational centre in Limassol, Cyprus.

On the 27th of July, 2020, Dr Milto Miltiadou visited this education centre and held an interactive workshop with the children that lasted for an hour. Around 15 children attended aged between 5 to 12 years old. The workshop helped the children understand the terms “science”, “remote sensing” and “forest monitoring”, while it was also given an overview of the “ASTARTE” project. Overall the children enjoyed it and were excited about the new knowledge acquired. This was justified by the amount of questions and participation of the children.

During the workshop, it was clearly stated that this workshop was part of the “ASTARTE” (EXCELLENCE/0918/0341) project that is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Republic of Cyprus through the Research Innovation Foundation.
